Peter Dow created a winery adjacent to his Italian restaurant, Café Juanita. Located just north of Kirkland, it features Northern Italian dishes that may now be accompanied by wines ranging from Sauvignon Blanc to Cabernet Sauvignon to the Italian variety Nebbiolo. This Italian grape is cultivated in the Yakima Valley where a cooperative venture with Red Willow Vineyard has led to the first release of a Northwest-Italian varietal. Winery tours are by appointment only but dinner is served nightly.
