The grapegrower and the winemaker - a natural union of the key elements of producing wine - are brought together in the owners of Chinook Wines. Viticulturist Clay Mackey and winemaker Kay Simon are partners in both wine and marriage. They host visitors in their charming tasting room and they encourage you to enjoy their shady picnic area. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are produced and Chinook's first Cabernet Franc release is anticipated in 1997. Hours are noon to 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday from May through the December.
