Lopez Island Vineyards is a small family-run winery, growing grapes and making wine in the San Juan archipelago. The vineyard consists of unique, high quality varieties (certified organically grown), selected for growing in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains. Also produced are wines from well-known grape varieties grown in Eastern Washington. You are invited to come by for a tasting and a visit to the small stone and timber winery. Take the ferry from Anacortes (or east from Victoria, B.C.) and follow the road southwest to Fisherman Bay Rd. Tasting room hours: spring (3/15 - 5/31) Fri. & Sat., noon to 5 pm; summer (6/1 - 9/7) Wed. to Sun., noon to 5 pm; fall (9/8 - 12/23) Fri. & Sat., noon to 5 pm. or by appointment. Established in 1987.
