Joan and Lincoln Wolverton built their Burgundian dream on a hillside above the East Fork of the Lewis River just east of I-5 in Southwest Washington. Their vineyard was planted in 1971 with the first wines released from the 1976 vintage. Salishan is best known for their efforts with Pinot Noir as they proclaim: "Washington's answer to Oregon Pinot Noir." Other wines include Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Tasting and tours take place in the winery building on Saturdays only from 1 pm to 5 pm, May through December or by appointment.
